Stainless steal:
Stainless steel is often a popular choice for jewelry, cutlery, and surgical equipment. It holds a higher level of sheen that can appeal to those who like to add a little shimmer to their outfits. Stainless steel is composed of a variety of metal alloys that have different chemical compositions. There are approximately 150 variations of this metal with the most common being the combination of chromium and steel. This particular combination offers the durability, strength, and functionality of steel; while also offering the low maintenance and corrosion resistance of chromium. Other metals that can be used for stainless steel are nickel and titanium. It’s also stronger, more durable, and offers incredible scratch resistance.
Sterling silver:
It is an alloy (a mix) of silver containing 92.5% by mass of silver and 7.5% by mass of other metals, usually copper. This is why it is called 925 sterling silver. It’s the other metals that make the precious metal strong enough to work with and wear. Without them, fine silver would be too soft as a metal for the everyday wear of jewelry. While silver is beautiful, materials made with pure silver have a higher chance of losing their original shape. Silver is a very delicate metal and has a tendency to bend and snag easily. Jewelry, such as sterling silver earrings or sterling silver necklaces, often have .925 stamped on them to indicate their composition as sterling silver. It is often a popular choice for jewellery due to its receptive properties and the soft lustre it offers.
Gold plated:
Our real karat gold plated jewelry has a base metal that is usually brass, zinc alloy, sterling silver or stainless steel. Gold plated jewelry is made by electrochemical plating that deposit a very thin layer of karat gold over the base metal. There is real gold on such jewelry, even if it’s just a thin layer of it. Its color durability is around 6 to 12 months, which is twice the time of simply golden plated jewelry.
Platinum plated:
Real Platinum Plated jewelry is the same as 18K gold plated; it is also made by electrochemical plating or chemicals that deposit a very thin layer of 18k gold over the base metal. Platinum (White Gold) is made up of 75% Gold and 25% Silver+Nickel+Zinc (Nickel not exceeding 0.3%).
