Care Instructions

We want your jewelry to stay in its optimal condition. We recommend removing your treasures before going to bed, showering, cleaning, applying perfume or doing sports so that you can prevent oxidation. Also, we recommend placing them in a cool, dry area such as a box or case so that your fav pieces don’t get accidentally scratched or tangled. If on an unfortunate event  they become exposed to water, humidity or toxic cleaning products, here is what we recommend you to do!

For gemstones:

Although gemstones may appear tough and robust, many can be susceptible to heat and can be vulnerable to acids and perspiration. When cleaning, make sure that you use cold to warm water rather than hot or boiling water because it can weaken their structure if aggressively cleaned. Then, add a few drops of washing-up liquid and a soft brush like a toothbrush and rub gently.

For silver:

Silver is subject to tarnishing over time due to exposure to oxygen and sulphur which can result in dull or even black jewelry. It is unavoidable, but, thankfully, it doesn't damage the metal and can be easily removed and can be given back its original spark. Our first recommendation is to remove silver rings and bracelets when washing your hands since residue from soap and hand gels can result in a dull surface. However, when the metal begins to look wearisome, it is time to get a cleaning solution or a cloth to get the jewelry looking like new. Silver cleaning cloths should be soft and infused with anti-tarnishing agents. If you do not own any of the two referred items, simply a bowl of lukewarm water and a few drops of washing-up liquid and gently scrub with a brush will help remove tarnishing.

For Gold plated:

Our gold plated jewelry sold on this website is made of a thin layer of karat gold on top of sterling silver. Do not let your jewelry come into contact with nail polish removers, perfume or hairspray. Simply clean it with a mild dishwashing liquid diluted in water since a strong jewelry cleaner can cause more problems on delicate items such as real gold plated jewelry.

For Pearls:

After wearing your beautiful pearls, we recommend that you wipe them with a soft cloth. This will help prevent any buildup of oils or other substances that may have come into contact with your jewelry throughout the day. Clean with a damp cloth only as needed. If your pearls are visibly stained, you can mix a solution of lukewarm water and a mild dish soap, dip a soft cleaning cloth in it and wipe the pearls. If you prefer using lukewarm water and a dash of soap, do not submerge strung pearls in water, because it might affect the silk thread. However, pearls do well in a moist environment!
